Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our team as a Utility Network GIS Specialist.

As a key member of our GIS development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Smallworld GIS applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Utility Network data conversion and migration projects, as well as strong skills in Smallworld Suite of products and Magik programming language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom applications for GE Smallworld products using Magik
  • Integrate various 3rd party systems that support day-to-day GIS operations with the GIS system using Smallworld GSS 5.x
  • Smallworld data modeling and system administration
  • Upgrade older versions of GIS systems (3.x, 4.x versions) to Smallworld 5 (Magik on Java) and its custom modules
  • Perform requirement gathering, analysis, estimation, architecture designing, development, and implementation for GIS applications
  • Conduct impact analysis on integrated upstream and downstream systems with data model changes incorporated in the GIS system

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Expertise in ESRI / SE Products – Arc GIS, Arc FM, Arc GIS Pro
  • Expertise in Small World platform
  • Experience on FME
  • Exposure to Database concepts and System Integration
