Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. As a key member of our Minerals and Metals group, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering design according to required timeframes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the performance of mechanical engineers and review deliverables to ensure high-quality results.
- Facilitate the purchase of equipment by specifying requirements and assisting procurement.
- Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of mechanical engineering by managing the man hour budget and reviewing capital cost estimates.
- Take on a mechanical lead role on major projects, managing engineers and designers, and organizing mechanical work.
- Assist in the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts.
- Issue drawings and engineering deliverables for construction.
- Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
- Previous experience in Minerals & Metals, with Oil & Gas experience being an asset.
- 10-12 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry.
- Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
- Commitment to mentoring and coaching personnel.
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Well-developed written and oral skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
