Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing technical specifications, equipment lists, and design documents for various engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare technical specifications, equipment lists, and design documents for engineering projects.
- Contribute to the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design by liaising with other engineering disciplines.
- Review and advise on technical documents submitted by vendors.
- Deliver mechanical engineering design according to project timeframes and standards.
- Guide designers in preparing layouts and assist the drafting division in producing project design drawings.
- Travel to client sites and participate in site work such as inspections and field verifications.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and design. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 3-8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- 3-8 years of experience in preparation of tender packages, requisitions specifications, bid evaluations, and vendor documents.
- Experience with bulk material handling equipment such as conveyors, feeders, stockpiles, crushers, rail unloading facilities, ports, and terminals.
- Experience performing calculations and design for bulk handling equipment and facilities.
- Knowledge of conveyor modelling software and discrete element modelling (DEM).
- Ability to lead project scope with some supervision and comfortable interacting with clients and providing direction to vendors and contractors.
