About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Compass Early Learning and Care. As a Nutrition Specialist, you will play a critical role in planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus that meet the dietary needs of our children and staff, taking into account food allergies and sensitivities.
  • Collaborate with our team of nutrition specialists to ensure seamless meal service.
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus that align with the Canada Food Guide and Compass Early Learning and Care policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with families and staff to ensure their needs are met.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all equipment, dishes, furniture, and materials.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Food handler's certificate and up-to-date immunization records.
  • Clear police vulnerable sector check and standard first aid and CPR certification.
