We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at CAE Inc. As a key member of our content development team, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical documents that support our commercial, business, and helicopter aviation training programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and edit technical documents, including proposals, instructor guides, and customer publications.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and courseware developers to ensure accurate and engaging content.
- Apply critical thinking skills to interpret engineering documents and illustrations, and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Utilize various documentation software, including Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, to produce high-quality PDF output.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, communications, or English language, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in the Aviation/Aerospace domain.
- Strong knowledge of publications software and ability to produce PDF output.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
