The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician will be responsible for reprocessing reusable medical devices and equipment, scopes, and supplies in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a rotation through all shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Reprocess reusable medical devices and equipment, scopes, and supplies in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
- Work in a rotation through all shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, in areas such as Endoscopy/Cystoscopy, Surgery Treatment Clinic, and Medical Device Reprocessing.
- Ensure high-quality results and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the Medical Device Reprocessing team to provide reprocessed medical devices and scopes for the operating room, surrounding area clinics, and inpatient units.
- Perform data entry and computer tasks, including instrument tracking and material management software.
- Grade 12 Education or equivalent.
- At least one year of recent and relevant Medical Device Reprocessing experience.
- Basic understanding of Microbiology, Quality Control process, and Aseptic technique.
- Strong knowledge of instrument tracking and material management software.
- Basic data entry and computer skills.
- Ability to lift 25lbs regularly, push/pull heavy carts, stand, and walk for long periods.
- Ability to rotate through all shifts and positions.
- Demonstrated ability to seek and accept responsibility, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to tight deadlines.
