Clean Room Assembler Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clean Room Assembler to join our team at Sterling Industries, a leading contract manufacturer and assembler of medical devices and sub-components.

About the Role:

The Clean Room Assembler will be responsible for ensuring optimal use of company resources to produce products to specification, on time, and complete to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times
  • Optimize use of company resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
  • Meet budgeted costs for labor, material, equipment, and other production-related expenses
  • Ensure all production-related processes, documentation, and areas are in compliance with our quality management system and ISO13485
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to schedule production, people, materials, and equipment for optimal resource utilization
  • Perform preventative maintenance and resolve equipment issues in accordance with the quality management system
  • Drive continuous improvements in people, equipment, processes, products, and the facility through AIT (area improvement teams)
  • Minimize and resolve quality issues in conjunction with the quality department
  • Ensure cleanliness of the production area and related documentation

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in production, equipment, quality systems, and facility
  2. Good dexterity and attention to detail
  3. Ability to communicate and coordinate with administrative, operations, quality, and engineering teams
  4. Ability to implement and complete continuous improvement efforts
  5. Flexible schedule and extensive working knowledge of manufacturing and process equipment
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) an asset
  7. Experience in clean room environments and ISO13485 standard
