Professor of Chemical Engineering

The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Chemical Engineering to join our faculty. We are looking for an individual with expertise in mineral processing, metallurgy, or materials engineering, with a strong research background and a passion for teaching.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, as well as conduct research in their area of expertise. They will also be expected to participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach activities.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with industry partners, have a strong track record of publication in reputable journals, and have a demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students.

  • Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a related field

  • Postdoctoral research experience
  • Industry experience in chemical engineering
  • Experience with grant writing and management
