About the Role:

Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Device Services and Service Continuity to lead our team in providing high-quality clinical and business-oriented technology support. As a key member of our Digital Health leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the provisioning of technology, application, and peripheral support, as well as software licensing efforts for our regional device services function.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Technology Refresh Program (TRP) and Asset Acquisitions, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of new equipment and assets.
Oversee the Managed Print Services (MPS) relationship, ensuring Interior Health obtains value for money and holds vendors accountable for delivering services as defined in the MPS contract.
Manage multiple department operational and capital budgets, approving and tracking expenditures, identifying budget discrepancies, and allocating funds across areas of responsibility.
Provide leadership in the design and development of Digital Health Business Continuity Services, ensuring regular review of Digital Health business continuity and identifying and closing gaps within the ITSM Business Continuity framework.
Ensure the ongoing management/maintenance of negotiated vendor contracts, leading Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluations, and vendor selection, negotiating contracts, and ensuring payment schedules are distributed.
Participate in internal and external committees, representing Interior Health as a decision maker on external opportunities to achieve desired outcomes.
Manage, recruit, allocate, and hire/supervise staff, conducting performance appraisals/evaluations, and disciplining and terminating staff as required.
Provide leadership and direction to staff who may themselves carry supervisory responsibility, and through them, to all staff within the Device Services and Service Continuity department.
Communicate with senior management regarding status affecting logistics/acquisition/procurement activities, taking immediate action as required on critical issues.
Accountable for project priorities for the health authority, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with Interior Health project management standards and that necessary project resources are in place to ensure successful implementation.
Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of asset and software inventory information for hardware, software, and licenses, monitoring and analyzing trends in spending or inventory control.
Work closely with internal leaders, provincial contract Integrators, and other contracted service providers to ensure that Service Level Agreements and desired contracted outcomes are being met, implementing specific courses of action to address issues or opportunities.
Define requirements for special projects involving the acquisition, disposal, and installation of end-user computers, printers, software, and peripherals, optimizing fleet size, recommending computer and printer types, and ensuring internal purchasing policies and best practices are adhered to.
Work with external service providers to negotiate contract terms, change orders, and pricing, resolve complex service issues, and enhance and expand existing services.
Develop detailed work plans, schedules, cost estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations, and implementing required corrective actions.
