We're a leading Canadian reinsurance company empowering our community through mutual insurance principles. As an Operations Optimization Strategist, you'll join our Business Operations department in Cambridge, Ontario.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves driving operational excellence through process design and improvement. You'll collaborate with business units to identify non-value added tasks and optimize workflows using lean concepts and methodologies.

  • Leverage your expertise to research, collect information, and document end-to-end processes, identifying current and ideal future states.
  • Develop and lead group collaboration sessions to discuss problem areas within current state processes and provide recommendations for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Challenge the status quo by streamlining processes, creating process automation, and recommending solutions to support re-engineering for an ideal future state.
Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A post-secondary education with at least 5 years of experience in a related position, demonstrating a passion for business process improvement.
  • Knowledge of and proven experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Visio or equivalent product for detailed process mapping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and promote organizational values.
