Job Summary:

Johnson Electric is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Coordinator to support the manufacturing team with daily operational activities related to both project and non-project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and store inventory in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining accurate records and inventory levels.
  • Unload, inspect, and receive inbound deliveries, managing documentation and records related to shipping.
  • Kit project-level goods for build, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate reports on build capability and status, providing valuable insights to the team.
  • Manage project leftovers, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Coordinate shipping arrangements for cell delivery, supplier shipments, and other requests.
  • Manage non-vendor managed items related to build, ordering, tracking, and transferring to and from projects in CMS.
  • Support manufacturing team at an administrative level, including planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Attend project-based meetings and provide updates on inventory and operational status.
  • Manage vendor-managed inventory and stocking, ensuring optimal levels and minimizing stockouts.
  • Participate in special projects to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Process incorrect or damaged items, coordinating return shipments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Produce and maintain all required reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for facilities and outside services, including landlords, office supplies, and contractors.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.

Requirements:

  • College graduate or relevant work experience in a related field.
  • Background in project management considered an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, along with a mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate purchasing responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with good interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office platform, knowledge of Questica, CMS, and ERP considered an asset.
  • Possess a high attention to detail and previous purchasing and/or project planning experience.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
