Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Marché Riendeau Beloeil Inc. in the Produce Department. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage a team of 5-10 employees, including grocery clerks and shelf stockers, and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the types of produce and services to be sold, and implement pricing and credit policies to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills.
