About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finisher to join our team at MCL Concrete Ltd. As a Cement Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Work Sites

Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Apply Concrete Finishing Techniques

Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, and fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.

Operate Power Equipment

Use power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.

Improve Work Efficiency

Impart desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, and instruct apprentices to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Maintain and Repair Concrete Structures

Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.

Read and Interpret Plans

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure our projects meet the required standards.

Work Environment

As a Cement Finisher at MCL Concrete Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a dental plan and financial benefits as per our collective agreement. You will work 40 hours per week in a permanent position.
