Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and disinfect floors, surfaces, and equipment in patient care areas, public spaces, and staff areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Vacuum and clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
