Role Overview

This part-time role involves working three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) from 8:00am to 5:30pm, with possible one Friday per month from 8:00am to 5:30pm. You will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical preventative hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening to patients.

As an oral health educator, you will introduce new preventative techniques and counsel patients on maintaining good oral health. Your primary goal is to establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on their expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services for patient care
  • Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening to patients
  • Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling patients
  • Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on patients' expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behavior

Requirements
  • Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree
  • Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with provincial licensing
  • Valid CPR certification
