About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dining Service Attendant to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and adhere to continuous quality improvement standards.
  • Serve meals in the dining room to residents and guests, ensuring that proper dietary restrictions are followed.
  • Set dining room tables, clear the dining room of dishes, utensils, etc., and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
  • Utilize point of sale system for guest and resident meals, and portion desserts, appetizers, and meals for serving in the dining room.
  • Receive and store food supplies, and provide assistance to the cook in the preparation of food and assembly of salad/sandwich plates.
  • Comply with infection control processes and protocols, and maintain effective communication with co-workers, residents, and guests.
Requirements
  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar serving position preferred.
  • An understanding of food service and preparation is essential.
  • Must have a valid regional safe food handler's certificate and a valid alcohol serving certificate.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
  • Dependable, responsible, and an ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.
