Deputy Quality Manager

Job Overview
Kiewit Nuclear Canada is a leading provider of engineering, project management, and construction services in the nuclear industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Quality Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
* Review and approve subcontractor quality plans to ensure they meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure quality staff are adequately assigned, trained, and qualified to execute the PQP.
* Implement and oversee a Nuclear Quality Assurance Program in a construction environment.
* Lead and mentor junior QA/QC personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
* Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with the Client team.
* Interpret quality standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
* Collaborate closely with district quality management to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
* Coordinate and perform causal analysis investigations on project-related issues.
* Coordinate and perform QA audits and assessments to identify trends and potential risks.
* Analyze findings to identify areas for improvement and develop mitigation strategies.
* Promote Continuous Improvement and engage in operation planning sessions to ensure quality goals are met.
* Ensure all Quality documentation required for project turnover is completed and compliant.
* Present at meetings to promote quality goals and objectives.
* Perform routine performance reviews with all project Quality staff.
Requirements
* Experience in managing the development and implementation of a contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP).
* Knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance Programs in a construction environment.
* Ability to lead and mentor QA/QC personnel.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Experience in QA audits and assessments.
* Ability to analyze findings and develop mitigation strategies.
