About This Opportunity


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformational Health System Leader to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) in Vancouver, BC.


The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic plans to transform cancer care services across British Columbia. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, expertise in project management, and a deep understanding of the provincial healthcare system.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the development and monitoring of special projects related to cancer service delivery, ensuring alignment with PHSA and Ministry of Health priorities.
  • Provide leadership on various initiatives, including project charters, timelines, and deliverables, while utilizing effective change management strategies.
  • Organize and facilitate engagement initiatives, such as focus groups, surveys, and one-on-one interviews, to elicit input from stakeholders.
  • Serve as a resource for health organizations and liaise with provincial partners to develop and implement provincial data and indicators related to program outcomes.
  • Represent PHSA on local, provincial, and national committees, building alliances and engaging in cross-functional activities with clinicians, allied operational leaders, government agencies, and other health authorities.

Requirements



  • A Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or an applicable health discipline, plus five years of experience managing complex healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in project management, business analysis, and working knowledge of the provincial healthcare system.
  • Ability to motivate and influence leaders, physicians, and staff to take action on transformation initiatives, with diplomatic negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership to project teams, work independently, and as part of multi-disciplinary teams, with excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
