Job Title: Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

At Sinai Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Women's and Infants' Health program, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to women and infants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting to Labour and Delivery Triage, including a thorough history and physical examination.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring comprehensive communication with patients and the care team.
  • Provide postpartum care, including monitoring patients' physical and emotional well-being, managing common postpartum issues, and educating patients and families on care essentials.
  • Manage wound care for surgical sites or episiotomies, ensuring proper healing, preventing infection, and providing patient education on wound care at home.
  • Participate in programmatic development of the clinical area and provide education and mentorship to staff and students.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in nursing and a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Current registration (extended class) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Eligible for cross-appointment to an academic institution.
  • Experience in high-risk labour and delivery.
