Job Summary
The Anglophone North School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support services, you will play a vital role in assisting Speech Language Pathologists in implementing and establishing therapy plans for groups and individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Speech Language Pathologists with client assessments and screenings
- Implement therapy plans or programs with individual clients or in group sessions
- Assist clients in activities and monitor, recognize, and report/document changes in clients' status
- Prepare and organize materials, equipment, and documents for educational and therapy sessions
- Educate clients, parents, and the community
- Maintain equipment and supplies
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require a high school graduation plus an additional rehabilitation program/course of over one year or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent position requiring 36.25 hours of work per week, 12 months per year. Travel is necessary as this position covers multiple schools in the Bathurst/Campbellton/Dalhousie area.
