Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Counselling Psychologist to join our team at New Tide Counselling & Consulting Ltd. As a Counselling Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy services to clients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans, and implementing effective interventions to promote positive change.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with other healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans and develop effective interventions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes, making adjustments as needed.
- Examine client behaviour, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for positive change.
- Interview clients, prepare case histories, and assess problems, using standard psychological tests for assessment.
- Record observations, review reports from healthcare professionals, and determine patients' current and potential functioning levels.
- Implement treatment plans, provide therapy, and counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social, and vocational development and adjustment.
- Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to professional standards.
- Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field.
- Accreditation or registration with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
- Experience working in a mental health institution, facility, or clinic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and develop effective interventions.
