Director, Technology Development and Delivery

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technology Leader to join our Capital Markets Technology division at CIBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of software solutions that meet the business needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Technology Design and Leadership: Provide expert technical leadership on application design and architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and standards. Oversee project deliverables, ensuring optimal quality and timely completion.
- Technology Delivery: Expert in agile and waterfall delivery frameworks. Lead development team delivery improvements, including setting up and enhancing agile ceremonies and establishing development delivery KPIs.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Partner with Capital Markets front office to contribute to overall business strategies. Identify opportunities to leverage technology to meet business goals, increase efficiency, and create robust platforms that support operational excellence.
- Strong Leadership: Provide technology leadership to Technology & Operations executive teams as required. Balance running daily business while establishing technology strategies and roadmaps aligned to enterprise architecture direction.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Technology Leader who can demonstrate:
- Experience leading multiple development teams in a Payments, Financial Services, or Digital/Technology focused industry.
- In-depth understanding of current and traditional technologies, including system integration and networking.
- Expert-level knowledge in design and analysis methodology and application development processes within the financial services industry.
- An entrepreneurial/start-up mindset, with the ability to deliver first-to-market solutions for non-traditional clients in multiple global markets.
