About the role:

Amber is seeking a Greek Localization QA Tester to work at our offices in Montreal on an on-call basis, with comprehensive training provided for individuals without prior experience.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing games to identify linguistic, visual, and cultural issues in the localized text of various game titles across mobile (iOS and Android), PC, and console platforms within a multilingual QA testing team.

The Quest:

  • Verify all text, images, and voice-over components in Greek
  • Discover translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic errors in video game titles
  • Document errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document clearly
  • Provide resolutions for reported errors to enhance linguistic and translated content
  • Follow and respect terminology guidelines
  • Cross-check issues between different languages with your team
  • Report to and follow instructions from the Test Lead
  • Address and escalate problems to the Test Lead

The Skills:

  • Native-level language proficiency in Greek
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices, along with knowledge of their terminology
  • Passion for video games
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Professional competency in English
