Medical Laboratory Specialist, Chemistry and Hematology

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team in a Full-Time role with flexible shift work. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, performing, interpreting, and releasing results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Testing: Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, including chemistry and hematology.
- Result Release: Perform, interpret, and release results, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
- Incident Reporting: Identify incidents and non-conformities, participate in the development of effective corrective action plans, escalate as appropriate, and drive continuous improvement.
- Technology Evaluation: Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
- Problem Solving: Participate in problem solving in work organization and workflow.
- Education: College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people.
- Computer Skills: Good computer skills and knowledge.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow up on issues.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain the strictest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
