Senior Vice President Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President Operations to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc. in Montreal, Canada.
About the Role:The Senior Vice President Operations will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution and scaling of our manufacturing operations to meet our growth objectives. This will involve evaluating existing systems, processes, and metrics to recommend and implement continuous improvement mechanisms and disciplines that minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production and quality outputs.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the operations-related functional teams, including production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and sanitation, ensuring that they are encouraged and empowered to contribute and implement ideas that improve the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic projects to identify and deliver key business improvements throughout operations.
- Manage and oversee the maintenance and servicing of production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure that operations provide input into current performance management systems and are compliant with all provincial and national regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement systems for ordering goods and raw materials that minimize stockholding quantities while ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Work closely with the sales organization on demand planning and forecasting processes.
The ideal candidate will have ~10 to 15 years of broad-based manufacturing, operations, engineering process management, process improvement, and related experience within the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical sector.
They will have experience in implementing best practices in operations, quality systems, and engineering in multi-plant environments, as well as significant change management and business transformation experience within mid-sized and private businesses.
Project management experience is beneficial, and the ability to strike a balance between substantive yet measured change that moves the organization forward without risking its future is essential.
