Job Summary

DAYSTAR FLOORING SERVICES LTD is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for inspecting and installing resilient floor coverings, preparing and installing hardwood floors, and repairing damaged floor coverings in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Install Floor Coverings: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark surfaces, and install resilient floor coverings, hardwood floors, and underlay and underpadding.
  • Prepare Floors for Installation: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Repair Damaged Floor Coverings: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a smooth and even finish.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months, permanent employment, English language proficiency, 30 to 40 hours per week
