About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at DAYSTAR FLOORING SERVICES LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of floor coverings for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Underlay and Underpadding Installation: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to provide a stable and even surface.
  • Resilient Flooring Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl, linoleum, and rubber.
  • Hardwood Flooring Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Floor Repair and Maintenance: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and prepare floors for future installations.
  • Removal and Cleaning: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and clean the surface to prepare for new installations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: This role requires working in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Schedule: The successful candidate will work a regular 30-40 hour week, with a permanent contract.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role, and proficiency in English is required.
