Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Hand in Hand Daycare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our team to create a safe and inclusive environment that fosters learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including daycare equipment
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
  • Assist in record-keeping and administrative tasks
  • Encourage creativity and self-expression through various activities
  • Lead activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Guide children in developing good habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for meals and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to parents or guardians
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain a safe environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Criminal record check
  • Own transportation
