Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes assessing children's development, preparing learning plans, and communicating with parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support
  • Communicate with parents and keep them informed about their child's progress
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Vulnerable sector check
