Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Verdi Structures Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates of labour and material costs, reading blueprints and specifications, and utilizing quantity take-off procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and other estimating tools
- Conduct quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates
- Advise on tendering procedures and provide cost estimates to clients
- Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with estimating software, such as estimating packages and take-off packages, and proficiency in AutoCAD are assets.
