Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical support to all departments within the facility to ensure seamless operations.
- Prevent equipment breakdowns through regular preventative maintenance and ensure a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the production process to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve a productive team environment and continuous process improvement.
- Report concerns and problems to supervisors through daily written and verbal updates.
- Understand the mechanics of our facilities' processing and packaging equipment and maintain them accordingly.
- Ensure equipment operates in accordance with GMP standards.
- Provide shift reports, including parts used, downtime, and root cause analyses.
- Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities related to food safety, legality, and quality.
- Adhere to all applicable job procedures outlined in the SOP manual.
- Follow GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are followed.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
- A valid license or proof of license from any province or country.
