**Maintenance Manager**

Birla Carbon is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join our Team. The Maintenance Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, will be responsible for the overall management of all maintenance resources dedicated to our operational equipment and plant facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide focus and support for the safety of all employees and contractors as a priority
- Provide support to a 24/7 operation as required for operational breakdowns with any maintenance or contractor requirements
- Oversight of Mechanical and Electrical / Instrumentation departments consisting of skilled trades
- Develop and implement procedures and programs in direct support of our plant operational goals
- Prioritize plan and schedule all maintenance activities consistent with and in conjunction with the priorities of our operations, customers and budgets
- Oversight of the materials stores room to ensure efficient budgets, stock and materials to support the continuous operations of all maintenance requirements
- Develops and maintains employee awareness and commitment to maintenance quality and internal customer satisfaction through training, supervision, procedural compliance, performance management and coaching
- Maintains all required maintenance logbooks, reports and records consistent with our commitment to IATF 16949 and ISO-14001 and all other regulatory requirements
- Coordinates the activities of all maintenance contractors
- Works in conjunction with Operations and Engineering in a hands-on and visible manner to develop maintenance procedures, resolve technical issues and improve processes to meet our operational goals
- Fosters and promotes a continuous improvement environment by recommending cost improvements, process improvements, equipment modifications and / or safety improvements consistent with our operational needs
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years’ experience in maintenance management; preferably in the carbon black industry
- Must hold a valid Millwright, Electrician or Instrumentation technician certification
- Ability and availability to support a 24/7 high need manufacturing facility
- Excellent diagnostic, planning, organizational, and communicational skills
- Experience with Boilers and Furnaces in a petrol chemical environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment
- 2-3 years’ experience (manufacturing experience is considered an asset)
- Experience with electronic work permits, and work order systems is required
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
