Job Description

The Safety and Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Refining Operations at ASR Group's Toronto facility. This position is responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring corporate health, safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site-specific Health and Safety procedures to meet ASR's Corporate EHS Programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead investigations of serious safety events and violations, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to management teams and associates on Health and Safety best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to workplace safety and incidents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing safety functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
