**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Wonderbrands. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our bakery manufacturing facilities across Canada meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

**Key Responsibilities**

  1. Conducting Internal Audits: You will lead and conduct internal audits of our bakeries, DCs, and depots to ensure compliance with GFSI – BRCGS, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Developing QMS SOPs: You will develop and maintain Quality Management System Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: You will identify and assess risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  4. Audit Template Development: You will create an audit template that reflects the needs for compliance to Wonderbrands QMS, SFCR, FSMA, and specific customer requirements.

**Requirements**

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: You must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with leadership and operations colleagues.
  • Excellent Project Management: You must have excellent project management skills, with an emphasis on closing gaps with leadership teams within given timelines.
  • Knowledge of GFSI and Food Safety: You must have knowledge of GFSI (preferably BRCGS), food safety (HACCP) programs, Preventive Controls, and Quality Systems.
