Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Clinical Operations to lead our clinical department/service in Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction on strategies, planning, design, implementation, delivery, and assessment of assigned clinical department/service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic/operational planning, integration, implementation, and delivery of a program/department/service.
  • Collaborate to communicate program/department/service needs and outcomes.
  • Ensure program/department/service operate within approved financial mandate.
  • Review and endorse budgets and financial plans developed by Managers.
  • Oversee development of policies supports for integration and standardization of health programs/services.
  • Ensure standardization of practice, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
  • Represent the program/department/service in the health service community, civic/provincial governments, or others.
  • Ensure performance management criteria form the basis of metrics for program and individual performance plans.
Requirements
  • A Master's level of education in a field related to healthcare management, supplemented with seven to ten years' recent related, progressively responsible leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in roles to lead and move forward complex organizational change issues across health service needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to incorporate department/site needs within the broader context of the health delivery system and multiple site/service requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and lead within a matrix reporting structure.
  • Sound working knowledge of planning concepts related to service delivery, budgetary, staffing, quality, and strategic initiatives.
  • Proven presentation skills within a senior leadership capacity.
