Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Mechanical Engineering to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, as well as supervising research projects and advising students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in mechanical engineering, including system selection, cost justification, and manufacturing systems
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and industry
  • Supervise research projects and advise students on their academic and professional development
  • Stay current with developments in mechanical engineering and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong background and demonstrable expertise in the subject matter. They will also have a background in mechanical engineering and be licensed or eligible for licensing as a professional engineer in one of the provinces of Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in teaching and research in mechanical engineering, as well as a strong track record of publication and presentation in the field.
