Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Professor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineering Professor to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in material science and manufacturing, with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a specialization in materials.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in mechanical engineering, including metal casting processes, bulk deformation processes, sheet forming processes, powder metallurgy, machining, and joining processes. They will also be expected to conduct laboratory experiments and supervise students.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in materials, a strong background in material science and manufacturing, and be licensed or eligible for licensing as a professional engineer in one of the provinces of Canada.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, teaching and conducting research in mechanical engineering. They will be expected to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff to achieve the goals of the department.
