Job Title: Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Mechanical Engineering to join our team at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in mechanical engineering, as well as contributing to the department's research and service activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop courses in mechanical engineering
  • Contribute to the department's research and service activities
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program
  • Supervise graduate students
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities

Requirements:

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with specialization

Strong background and demonstrable expertise in the subject matter

Licensed or eligible for licensing as a professional engineer in one of the provinces of Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in teaching and research in mechanical engineering

Strong publication record

Ability to work effectively in a team environment
