Mountain View Tile Corp. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Tile Setter Supervisor to oversee the installation of ceramic tiles in various locations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tile installation, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Train or arrange for training of other workers
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Supervise other workers
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Prepare rough plans and sketches
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
  • Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces
  • Install tile strips
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in tile installation
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own vehicle
  • Own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Hard hat

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites, and will be required to work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment.
