Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, designing mechanical systems, and supervising the installation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
  • Research and Development: Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems, and prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance.
  • Commissioning: Commission systems and components, and prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications.
  • Communication: Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, development, and project management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in ANASYS, AutoCAD, MS Office, Teamcenter, MS Excel, and Microsoft Visio.
  • Certifications: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to work under pressure. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to multitask and work as part of a team.
