Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Site Manager to play a vital role in the successful execution of our events at North Pole Hoops. The Site Manager will be responsible for setting up and overseeing event operations, ensuring smooth execution, and handling in-game situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Operations: Ensure the smooth and efficient running of game days, focusing on operations, safety, staff management, and maintaining a positive environment for everyone involved in the league.
  • League Administration: Participate in weekly meetings within the League department to delegate tasks and debrief on pre- and post-event activities.
  • Operational Oversight: Assist the League Manager on site visits prior to events, execute and continuously improve operational processes, procedures, and checklists to maximize efficiency.
  • Communication and Promotion: Coordinate with the League Manager to develop growth and success plans for operations staff, including Site Managers, and align operation staff with senior leadership's vision for a unified sense of direction and purpose.
  • Event Management: Familiarize yourself with the game schedule, referee schedule, and staff schedule, ensure that all staff members are properly set up and in their assigned positions, and prepare and ensure that tablets are charged and ready for use.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Make informed decisions for in-game situations, including those involving teams, players, and referees, and de-escalate issues from parents or other attendees.
  • Qualifications: Strong organizational and time management skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments, experience in event management or sports operations is a plus, detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
