The Challenger Motor Freight company is looking for a highly skilled Strategic Supply Chain Operations Director to oversee the management of our operating buildings that provide warehouse solutions, transloading services, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply/demand and competitive landscape.

Job Summary

This role involves working closely with the VP of operations across Canada, including Sales, to understand business requirements based on each specific building's needs. You will be responsible for managing Fastfrate group warehouses from a commercial standpoint, delivering targeted results, and creating synergies to maximize bottom-line profitability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Fastfrate group warehouses from a commercial standpoint.
  • Deliver targeted results including maximizing bottom-line profitability by creating synergies.
  • Develop and implement lead sourcing strategies to attract the right customers.
  • Work with pricing group to speed up pricing requirements.
  • Benchmarking and adapting industry best practices to drive competitive value proposition.
  • Sales alignment with Sales team across all groups as a subject matter expert.
  • Lead implementation of supply chain/warehouse for customer on boarding.
  • Ensure all warehouses always operating at max capacity.

Requirements:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements.
  • Identifying Sales Prospects for further development and closure.
  • Closing sales and achieving quarterly quotas.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Maintaining and expanding your database of prospects.
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, WMS.

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. If you are a motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, please apply for this exciting opportunity.
