Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate, Land Acquisition to join our team at Empire Communities. As a key member of our Land Acquisition team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, interpreting, and maintaining complex financial models to assist with decisions surrounding the acquisitions of residential development sites.

This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON. As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with our development team to analyze and evaluate potential development sites, prepare investment packages, and provide recommendations based on complex financial modelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support land acquisition decisions
  • Analyze and evaluate potential development sites, including market research and due diligence
  • Prepare investment packages, status reports, and present findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Real Estate, Planning, Finance, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in residential development and/or finance
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in real estate underwriting, valuation, and modelling
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
