Your Opportunity
Our Montreal Business Restructuring and Turnaround Service office is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager/Vice President to join our team. This individual will work on and manage corporate restructuring engagements, advising corporate clients, lenders, creditors, or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop business relationships with lenders, private equity, legal firms, and the business community;
- Supervise staff, delegate tasks and projects as required;
- Analyze cash flow models, projections, and business plans;
- Communicate with debtors, creditors, governmental regulators, and the Courts through stakeholder meetings, reports, and attendance at Court;
- Identify, target, and develop referral sources;
- Assist with practice development assignments;
- Travel to other BDO offices and off-site locations as required;
- Meet stakeholders during off-hours.
Requirements
- Enrolled in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program and have completed (or in the process of completing) the CIRP National Insolvency Examination (CNIE);
- CPA accounting and/or senior finance designation required;
- 8 or more years of previous experience within the Restructuring field;
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of insolvency rules, laws, and procedures;
- Excellent spoken, written, and verbal communication skills in English and French;
- Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint);
- Advanced financial modeling skills;
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills;
- Able to prioritize and manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required.
