Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Port Coquitlam. As an LPN with Nurse Next Door, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, providing personalized care and support in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities- Execute client care plans as outlined by the Care Designer
- Provide delegations of task or other training to a care team
- Assess client needs and report back to Care Designer with recommendations on complex care plans
- Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
- Nursing tasks include medication administration, wound care, head to toe assessment, vital signs, pain assessment, liaising with physicians, diabetic management
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
- Assist clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises
- Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
- Help clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Be compassionate, kind, caring, and making a difference in the life of a senior
- Loves to care for others
- Driver's license and a vehicle is an asset but not a requirement
- Negative TB Test
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Valid LPN License
- Hospital, home care, and palliative care experience is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal English skills. Other languages an asset
- 2 Professional References
- Comfortable with mobile apps

- Casual Position – $30.00-$33.00 per hour
- Open to your availability – flexible hours
- Can work as low as 2 hrs. per shift to as long as 8-12 hours with overtime
- We service community nursing or facility staffing in BURNABY, NEW WESTMINSTER, & TRI-CITIES
- In home care with private clients – 1 on 1 community care
- 24/7 support center to assist with scheduling related questions
- 24/7 assistance related to client care
- We provide internal educational programs or courses, at no cost
Mornings, Evenings, Overnights, & Weekends
We understand nurses' schedules with other employments, and our team can work around your schedule
