The Mentor Service Broker Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Service Broker to join our team as a Mentor Service Broker. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our digital service team, servicing current client policies, and managing tasks such as policy changes, endorsements, and fielding related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching and support to new hires as they transition into their roles
  • Reverse shadow calls to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new team members
  • Manage communication for our Hometown Care phone queue, email, and texting platforms
  • Conduct policy changes and endorsements for clients
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide support through various channels
  • Assist clients with reporting claims to the insuring company
  • Review policies and recommend coverages to clients based on their individual needs
  • Respond to carrier requests for information on existing policies
  • Use our ARS system to provide quotes to insureds
  • Process client payments and assist with billing inquiries
  • Champion innovation and growth within our Hometown Care team platforms
Requirements
  • RIBO License in good standing with 1-3 years of insurance experience
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of leadership
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently, taking initiative to assist team members where needed
  • Interacts with patience, enthusiasm, and dedication
  • Pays close attention to detail and multitasks with a high level of organization and accuracy
  • Approaches learning and professional development with enthusiasm
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of customer service experience
