Job Description:

This role is a key position in our team, requiring an experienced and licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance crew.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise the work of AMEs and Apprentices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and practices.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft listed in the Summit Air Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).
  • Carry out certification of the aircraft for flight (maintenance release) and communicate effectively with the maintenance, flight crew, and dispatch teams.
  • Liaise with various teams to ensure smooth operations and identify possible Service Difficulty Report (SDR) situations.
  • Troubleshoot faulty systems, conduct hangar clean-up, and maintain accurate paperwork.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed AME, preferably working with larger aircraft.
  • Possess Transport Canada AME M or E license or a combination of the two and hold necessary endorsements for the type of aircraft.
  • Previous experience working on ATR42/72, DHC-8, BAE146, RJ85/100, D228 aircraft would be an asset.
  • Ability to direct and supervise the work of and provide practical training to AME's, including foster apprentices towards successfully attaining an AME license.
Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum

Working Conditions:

14 days on, 14 days off schedule, with night shift and day shift rotations.
