Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Royal Columbian Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  2. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  3. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  4. Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  5. Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
