Schneider Electric is excited to offer a 4 or 8 month co-op opportunity to join our team in Victoria, BC Canada. As a co-op student, you will have the chance to contribute to the development of our Advanced Power Metering products, such as the ION9000 and PM8000.

Our Power meters are installed around the world, helping organizations measure carbon emissions, reduce energy consumption, and increase power reliability. You will be part of our engineering team, supporting the maintenance and expansion of our DevOps pipelines and systems.

This role offers a unique opportunity to challenge yourself and explore the application of DevOps concepts and tools to the embedded system and product space. You will work with our team in an agile environment, performing activities such as system and toolchain updates, debugging and diagnosing build and automation issues, and researching, designing, and implementing enhancements and optimizations to our systems.

Key responsibilities include reviewing build, automation, and deployment issues, recommending and implementing changes, and contributing to the development and testing of power metering products. A degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or relevant experience, is required. Additionally, experience with Linux and Windows systems, coding and debugging, and Python is preferred.

We offer a competitive base pay compensation of CAD20.00 per hour for candidates who are B.Hybrid work environment (combination of remote and in-office locations depending on project needs). Our Victoria office was recognized locally as a Green and Ocean Friendly business. Co-op positions are provided paid time off (PTO).
