Manufacturing Strategy Director

Smart Skin Technologies is seeking a seasoned manufacturing expert to lead the transformation and scaling of our manufacturing processes. As the Director of Manufacturing Strategy & Operations, you will be responsible for developing and executing a transformative manufacturing vision that drives growth, optimizes supply chains, and achieves production and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a 3-5 year manufacturing vision that scales our operations and optimizes our supply chain.
- Lead the actions required to achieve the new vision, including process improvements and cost-effective methods.
- Optimize lab-scale manufacturing for scalability and implement innovative methods.
- Outsource and manage relationships with contract manufacturers and assembly partners.
- Set benchmark expectations, hold teams accountable, and deliver progress reports.
- Develop procedures to minimize errors and quality issues, ensuring deliverables meet budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize product design for scalable manufacturing.
- Oversee logistics, inventory management, vendor relations, and warehouse operations, while enhancing supply chain efficiency to support growth.
- 10 years of experience in leading high-quality manufacturing assembly operations.
- Energetic and engaging personality with a natural propensity for strong daily management and leading change.
- Proven ability to develop and execute a transformative manufacturing vision, with excellent strategic planning, project management, and process improvement skills.
- Strong background in outsourcing manufacturing processes and supply chain optimization.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to be based in Fredericton with international travel for benchmarking and partnership development.
